LET US NOT REMOVE OUR EYES AWAY FROM THE SYRIAN CRISIS
Over 4 years of unrest have created the worst humanitarian crisis in the modern history of the Middle East region. Over 12 million Syrians are in need for humanitarian aid, around 6 million people have been internally displaced, and more than 3 million refugees have fled to neighboring countries.
There are over 12.2 million Syrians in desperate need of humanitarian aid, inside Syria, with over 5.1 million of these being children. Over 3.3 million Syrians have fled, seeking shelter in neighboring countries, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq and Jordan. On average, one family flees Syria for safety, every minute.
Most have fled their homes because their homes have been destroyed. A country is not just a place of national pride it is a home, a place of belonging which defines who you are and when 1 in 4 Syrians have had their property/home destroyed it leaves 5.7 million homeless people who have nothing more than rubble to return to.
To relieve hosting countries from Syrian refugees can only be achieved by rebuilding homes in Syria, without a home for a Syrian refugee to return to, then there is no reason to return.
Housing is urgently required, rebuilding homes also builds faith and hope for the Syrian People and hope in their future, it gives Syrian refugees the hope and planning of returning back to their country and homes to start their lives again.

Establishing new housing projects in Syria will allow realistic and sustainable planning for hosting countries and the UN to help resettle Syrian refuges, who are longing to return home which in turn helps relieve the financial burden of hosting countries and to the UN
