One of the biggest issues that the aid agencies face is providing Emergency Accommodation to displaced people, this is often achieved through tent shelters where a refugee camp is quickly established or expanded, with little or no electricity supply, fresh water, sanitation and has a major impact on the environment which often leads to illnesses and diseases.
It is called Emergency Response because that is exactly what it is, an aid agency applies all within its powers and resources to increase the life chances of displaced people which it has done for decades.
The emergency response tent accommodation can often become long term which leads to another crisis within an existing crisis. This creates a refugee camp community which often leads to child abuse and human trafficking where parents will act out of desperation in what they feel and or believe will save their children and themselves
The URGC has been monitoring many of the refugee camps within Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Gaza Strip & West Bank and we have applied our assessment, consultation and approved economical sustainable solutions that are quick and applies a choice back to the displaced person or family, a choice of socio-economic development, safe and secure accommodation for themselves and family until they are ready to move to permanent accommodation.
The ETGA (Emergency Temporary Green Accommodation) applies a system that involves refugees in the actual construction of the ETGA, allowing them to work and provide for their family whilst building the actual ETGA that they and their family will be housed in.
The ETGA provides family units, schools, health centers, social facilities, prayer areas, dinner halls with prepared meals, heating and cooling systems, 24hrs 7 day a week security, play areas for children, adult vocational training center, social recreational areas and retail outlets, all within the ETGA facility.
This allows families to remove themselves from a desperate situation and environment and be placed in a safe and secure housing unit facility where all their needs are met till they are allocated permanent accommodation solutions. This greatly reduces crime, provides stability, restores human rights, offers development and support, reduces spread of illness/disease and more importantly in makes UN Agency support 1090% more efficient and can cut cost to UN Agencies by up to 90%.
The ETGA can be developed and occupied by vulnerable refugees within 90 days a solution that does not exist anywhere else and the only solution URGC can presently see that can greatly increase the life chances of displaced people, restore their human rights and apply development.
The ETGA has been awarded a 7 star award rating
